This historical cemetery traces its roots back to the turn of the century when Molloy was largely settled along Bakers Road, on the track out to Font Hill Station and “The Pinch”. This was the main route to Granite Creek, which later became Mareeba.
The cemetery is still active. It is managed by Mareeba Shire Council and respectfully tended by the Friends of the Molloy Cemetery.
In 2018 JAMARR assisted with transferring Council records and community information into an online database for the benefit of the friends, relatives, and interested public who wish to know more detail about the cemetery and those who rest there.
