Mount Molloy Historical Cemetery

  • Aerial view of Molloy cemetery

This historical cemetery traces its roots back to the turn of the century when Molloy was largely settled along Bakers Road. This was both close to the copper mine and sat along the trail out to Font Hill and destinations beyond.

The cemetery is still active. It is managed by Mareeba Shire Council and respectfully tended by the Friends of the Molloy Cemetery. There is a commemoration poster on site that lists all known interments, updated as needed.

In 2018 JAMARR assisted with transferring Council records and community information into an online database for the benefit of the friends, relatives, and interested public who wish to know more detail about the cemetery and those who rest there.

Please feel free to browse these pages. If you find an error or omission, please send a note to: secretary@jamarr.org.au
